Born in New York City in 1968, Alberto Parada is equally at home in the United States and in his parents' native South America, where he spent much of his youth. Today he lives in Washington, DC, but travels frequently to Paraguay and Uruguay. His latest joint venture, Smith Parada, an art and jewelry anthology located in the heart of Georgetown's Canal Square, has finally opened the doors to Alberto's dream of infusing South American inspired design with cutting edge molding and setting techniques.
