Fashion Jewelry: Designer Necklaces
New York-based designer Juniper Rose launched this medieval armor-inspired jewelry line in 2009 to instant acclaim. Rose's attempt at writing a young adult novel inspired her jewelry collection, called Falconiere. Oversized chainmail necklaces decorated with rhinestones, beaded leather cuffs layered with hardware are at the core of Falconiere. Juniper Rose has designed sportswear for Earl Jean and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's children's collection.

Falconiere is a favorite of Donna Karan (they've collaborated on a tough-luxe accessories collection), and the style-savvy can't get enough of the label's statement-making hardware. Inspired by the armor and medieval garb of Rose's fictional characters, the line was named after a person who trains falcons to hunt. And as the name implies, there's nothing delicate about it. A Parsons grad, Rose works out of Katonah, New York.
