Designer Jewelry: Earrings
Dahlia Kanner handcrafts her jewelry using techniques such as lost wax casting, forming, carving and fabrication. She seeks to translate natural objects into long-lasting pieces through the application of nature-inspired textures and a variety of organic and geometric forms. Kanner forms her rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces from 18K gold, platinum, or sterling silver and occasionally, freshwater pearls.

Dahlia Kanner has a large collection of plant and tree segments, minerals, insects and photographs of natural life forms. Her designs are inspired by this collection and the hints of forms, textures and moods that are within each piece. Designs are generated through the concentrated study of specific natural objects. A 1996 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Kanner lives and works in Rhode Island.
