Drawing from her diverse fiber arts and weaving talents, Marie Scarpa hand-weaves tiny tapestries with fine gauge wire, embellishing them with brightly colored gems. This ability to combine both fiber and jewelry techniques in unconventional ways creates her unique look. Her specialty is hand-woven one-of-a-kind pieces, as well as limited production collections. Inspired by her adventurous spirit and imagination, Marie's jewelry is fun, wearable, and elegant.

Marie Scarpa began making jewelry in high school. After earning a BFA in metalsmithing from Syracuse University, she honed her skills working with several San Francisco Bay Area designer- jewelers. Using cast silver and gold needlepoint canvas and fine-gauge wire, Scarpa weaves tiny tapestries embellished with brightly colored gems, beads, and pearls. The unconventional combination of fiber and jewelry techniques gives her work its distinctive look.
