Born in Heilbronn, Germany, Barbara Heinrich works in 18k gold and platinum, and uses an array of colored gems in her pieces. The diamonds she uses are the newly created Spirit Cut, which is 20% more radiant than traditionally cut diamonds. Heinrich's studio employs jewelers from all over the world, to allow foreign artists to work and study in the United States.

Just as Barbara Heinrich's jewelry is a delicate balance between hard geometric lines and flowing organic shapes, her life is a balance between raising her two young children Tanya and Timo, and spending time in her studio. Heinrich welcomes this challenge, stating that it forces her to live completely in the present time consciousness. In her free time, Heinrich enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing and ballroom dancing.
