Handcrafted Jewelry: Necklaces
Rachel Dooley, designer of the Gemma Redux collection, focuses on discovering new, raw stones and gems to incorporate into the collection to drive a contrast against the industrial metals. The fall 2010 collection was inspired by ancient Japanese and east Asian suits of armor, and combines richly colored stones, deep 24k golds, inky gunmetal and raw steel chains and substantial silhouettes.

Rachel Dooley was drawn to all types of creative expression from a young age. She made her first mixed metal necklace from vintage and industrial materials and GEMMA REDUX was born. Within months, Rachel's designs were showing up in publications and featured on the TV fashion success, Gossip Girl. GEMMA REDUX has also been recently photographed on celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jessica Alba, and Molly Sims.
